Hope is rising.....

After a year in Missions here is actually sunny Tijuana, mexico there are so many testimonies of what God has done for me and for others that i have met as i have lived each day here......

So i wanna tell you of my last weekend we got to build a house for a family in a Colonia here in Tijuana, the mum had four children and looked after them and works too, her brother lives near but he has his family too, so we got to build with a couple from Canada who had raised the money to build but juts didn't have a team and we were looking for a small team for months who we could build with as a school, so last minute this opportunity came up and we could build Olivia and her family a House. When i asked her what she will do with the old house she said now her brother can move into it and he and his family can sleep in the old house but they can all cook together and share, i love how the Homes of Hope project doesn't just bless one family but it blesses Olivia's family, her brothers, the family that came from Canada and our school it was a day of blessings..........

I want to remind you of the situation in Zona Norte were we feed the deportees and the homeless every week well for years we have been talking and dreaming and praying for change and provision and Night shelters and more provision for the men and women in the community who are stuck in drugs, Homelessness and crime or anything to survive. So when they were all moved out of the Park and into the Canal it was a crazy transition and we were unsure of how the ministry would work as we had a very unstable place to support the men and women, a place the Police told us if you go in there we will not come and help you. But we still felt lead to go and feed and pray and love them. One day we received a random email from a pastor from a small church in Tijuana and he asked about our ministry so he came out with us and we built relationship with him and his church do similar to us and now we are in partnership with them and they have received a miracle for Tijuana, but a small grant from the government for them to have a night shelter in the top room of their church and to feed the guys every night, they can wash and do laundry!! This is a massive answer to prayers from years, we now get to go on Wednesdays to the Canal still but also to the Church to run discipleship groups every week after this week when about 40 men gave their heats and lives to the lord!!

Things are changing, prayers are being answered, broken lives are being made new and people are seeing freedom come in their lives and hearts and minds. These are just some of the testimonies form the Zona Norte ministry, but there are more and more every week.

For me personally i have been seeing God bring a strength in my life from reading and studying the word and this is so exciting for me because i know this is exactly what i need for the future ministry that He has for me in the Latin world. For 2 months i have been praying and praying for finances and really trusting God for breakthrough in this as daily i am living by faith and with the support of friends. Anyway I have been learning more and more to trust and this week i received an amazing donation towards my school fees, it was such a blessing, my school fees are nearly paid for this term and i can nearly buy part of my ticket to Brasil too, praise God, but i am still trusting God for the rest of my plane tickets to Brasil.

Last year when we took a team to Brazil we saw 3 people have their knees healed, they had years of knee pain and problems and we got to pray and the pain left and the people were able to walk easier and without pain, praise God!! We also met a lady who had a lump in her shoulder and after we had been praying for her and talking we prayed for anger and bitterness to leave her and we saw the lump go down in size too!!

Also just a quick update on Marianna, the little girl in the previous blog, who is allergic to the sun, yesterday she had a 8 hour operation to remove all her skin from her face and graph a new skin layer from her stomach, one of the nurses in the Hospital fell in love with the family and Mariana and decided to open her house and family to them all, so the nurse is taking care of Mariana in her house, which is so much better than her being in a hotel room in San Diego!!

Thanks so much for following the work that is being done here, there is so much more i could say but it will be pages and pages. There are 73 Students here ta the moment too which is the biggest quarter we had here in 3 different schools, in DTS, Bible School and Community Transformation School!! Its a exciting time here as there are so many people getting trained and equipped to live and bring positive change to communities that get unnoticed!!

Ok i will go now but thanks again for reading and following!!
